Why I’m Starting This Journal

W

I have always had this habit of starting things and then moving on to something else.

A new idea. A new project. A new study plan. A new notebook.

But somewhere along the way, I realised that I don’t really have a record of these years of my life. I remember certain moments very clearly, but a lot of the small things are already becoming blurry. What I was studying, what I was worried about, what I was excited about, what I was trying to build, and even what an ordinary day looked like.

So I wanted a place to keep it all.

I’m currently an MBBS intern, preparing for NEET PG 2027. Internship itself is a completely different phase from medical college. The routine changes, the responsibilities change, and finding time to study becomes its own challenge.

Some days I manage a good study session. Some days I barely get anything done. There are days when I feel completely motivated and days when opening a book feels like the hardest thing to do.

I don’t want this website to show only the productive days.

I want to write about the ordinary ones too.

RAKSSHIT is my attempt to document this phase while I’m actually living it.

I’ll be writing about my NEET PG preparation, things I learn during medicine and internship, projects I’m working on, ideas around healthcare and technology, and occasionally just things that have nothing to do with medicine.

There will probably be posts that make sense years from now and others that I’ll look back at and wonder why I wrote them.

That’s okay.

I don’t want this to be a perfectly curated version of my life.

I want it to be a record of it.

Maybe years from now, after medical school, residency and everything that comes after, I’ll come back here and read these entries.

And hopefully I’ll remember not just where I ended up, but what it felt like to be here.

This is the beginning.
